Hey there! If you've been searching for a vegan recipe to replace tri-tip you have found it. I went vegan over 7 years again and I used to eat tri-tip regularly. This recipe I'm about to show you uses the seitan found in the link below. You can add, change, modify, or tweak the recipe to your preference. I like to add in a blend of spices that creates a mildly spicey seitan with a rich flavor that excites your tastes buds. Be careful when grilling seitan. It will burn if you don't flip it after a minute or two. You'll want to make the total cooking time about to be about 5 to 6 minutes, or until you get a little char on the edges of the seitan. That's all you need to get bbq flavor and savory sweetness from the sauce you basted on the slabs without harming any animals. I added the finished seitan into a stir-fried veggie rice bowl this evening. Topped with green onions and sriracha hot sauce made it a great meal. Feel free to use seitan in sandwiches, as a pizzing topping, or you can even cut it into ribs and splash it with your favorite BBQ sauce and take it your next picnic. The sky is the limit! Enjoy!
